Each year, Marquette University invites Pulitzer Prize writers, prominent journalists, whistleblowers, and broadcasting giants to participate in four lecture series. Past guests have included Steve Berta, the investigative editor of the IndyStar, whose team uncovered Larry Nassar, the former USA Gymnastics doctor who is accused of abusing female athletes; Sari Horwitz and Scott Higham, Pulitzer Prize reporters for The Washington Post, who were the first to investigate the nation’s opioid epidemic; and ICIJ.ORG journalist Marina Walker Guevara, who coordinated the simultaneous publication of The Panama Papers with over 125 media outlets.
